Diane is a dog trainer, artist, author, agility instructor and competitor. Before starting in dog agility training in 2001 she ran a retreat center with her husband with a focus on meditation and communication with nature.
Diane specializes in bringing together the principles of awareness practice, positive training methods, and meditation into her work with dogs. In addition to extensive training in dog behavior, she has also studied animal communication with several teachers over the past 20 years.
She has two dogs who have earned three C-ATCHs in the CPE agility venue, along with many other titles in USDAA and NADAC. Currently she competes with Pilgrim her Australian Shepherd, Skye her rescue Border Collie, her Sheltie rescue Lexi, and Star her tiny mixed breed. Diane
also trains in Treibball and Rally Obedience. Besides private teaching, she is an instructor for the Monadnock Humane Society and for the Canine Agility Training Society. Diane graduated with distinction from the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior in 2010. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog trainers.
